Onitsha bank manager’s murder: Police Nab suspects after ₦14m ransom

Two suspects, Monday Egbe (32) and Kenneth Nnoga (28), have been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command allegedly in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a female bank manager in Onitsha.
The arrests, made on May 28, 2025, came after a significant ransom of ₦14 million was paid.
The victim’s lm body was discovered on January 13, 2025, along Nnobi Road, blindfolded.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who broke news of the arrest, stated that the suspects were apprehended following days of surveillance in a neighboring state.
They are currently being questioned to determine their full involvement and potential accomplices.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu emphasized the command’s ongoing commitment to bringing all those responsible to justice.
He reaffirmed the dedication of the police to ensuring the safety and security of Anambra State residents.
