Delta Police Eliminate Three Kidnap Suspects
Three suspected kidnappers have been neutralised by the Delta State Police Command.
The suspects met their poor fate on the Ughelli/ Patani highway by Evwreni Junction.
Delta Police Command spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed on Friday that the suspects had engaged the Commissioner of Police Special Assignment Team ( CP- SAT) operatives in a gunfire fight after the shuttle bus in which they were travelling had been flagged down.
Edafe alleged that the occupants of the bus, on being flagged down, opened fire on the police , in an apparent effort to escape, thus leading to a gunfire duel in which three of them were wounded, while others escaped into the bush.
The three wounded suspects were taken to a hospital where they died while undergoing treatment
