27 Hospitalized After Liverpool Car Plough
A total of 27 persons have been taken to hospital after a car ploughed into a celebratory crowd of supporters of Liverpool Football Club.
Twenty others were discharged for minor injuries after initial treatment.
Medics say four of those hospitalized , including a child, had serious injuries.
The car plough incident occurred shortly after a buscade bearing players and crew of the club had passed during a celebratory parade to mark the club’s victory in the current season of the English Premier League.
The parade, held in the Liverpool area, had attracted tens of thousands of fans, many of whom were leaving the venue when the car struck on Water Street.
A white male Briton was immediately taken into custody, although his identity and the motivation remain unknown, as the police probe of the incident continues.
Israel’ s Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Begins Operation
Amid great controversy, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has started operating in Gaza .
The foundation is the creation of Israel and its main backer, America, and it is intended to replace the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA.
UNRWA is the official agency mandated by the United Nations (UN) to handle humanitarian and related activities in both Gaza and the Occupied West Bank.
But Israel and America had accused it, without providing the enabling proof, of pro- Hamas allegiance in the discharge of its responsibilities.
Both countries also accuse the Palestinian group Hamas of stealing and selling the food to promote its activities which Israel and its allies call terrorism.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, whose head, Jake Woods, resigned yesterday following what he called the incompatibility of the goals of the foundation and basic humanitarian principles, is operating in its first centre in southern Gaza.
It hopes to run four such centres, overall.
Before UNRWA’ was sidelined by Israel and America, it had ran services at 400 centres across the strip.
On its part, the UN and many other stakeholders, have described the foundation as an appalling attempt to weaponise aid and vowed not to cooperate with it.

ASEAN,GCC Countries Meet In Kuala Lumpur
A far- flung meeting of the Association of South Eastern Asia Nations (ASEAN) and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) continues today in Kuala Lumpur, seat of Malaysia.
It is focusing on trade and investment.
Today’ s session is also expected to focus on the Middle East, particularly Gaza and the Occupied West Bank, where Israel, backed by its Western allies, especially America, is waging a military campaign and a humanitarian blockade that critics have described as genocidal.
The six- member GCC delegation is trying to woo the ASEAN countries to back the Arab initiative on the Palestinian question.
The meeting comes ahead of the upcoming UN meeting on the Palestinian question in New York
Ukraine
Russia Grinds Out More Ukrainian Territory
Russia upped its ante in its attacks on its smaller neighbour ,Ukraine, specifically targeting the governorate of Sumy.
Deploying drones and missiles to soften the ground, Russian foot soldiers took their Ukrainian counterparts in the region which borders it.
The office of the governor of the region today confirmed the assault which, he said, had killed two persons and wounded 16 others.
It also said that Russia had seized four outlying villages.
Military experts say that by targeting Suny, Russia intends to create a buffer zone inside Ukraine, even as it makes slow territorial gains in the Easter flank of the war inside Ukraine.
ISRAEL
