Children’s Day: Good parenting, quality education keys to brighter future for Children – Macaulay

Former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade (Chief) Ovuozourie Samuel Macaulay, the Okiroro of Isoko Nation has extended heartfelt wishes to Nigerian children, on the occasion of this year Children’s Day celebration.
Macaulay in his congratulatory statement to the Nigerian children, stressed that good parenting, quality education are keys to brighter future for the children and the nation.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for introducing policies aimed at improving the lives of Nigerian children, citing initiatives such as the reintroduction of the school feeding programme, increased budgetary allocation to basic education, and a renewed focus on digital literacy as positive steps toward creating an environment where children can thrive.
Comrade Macaulay, who also doubles as the Chairman of Macaulay Foundation, a non-governmental organisation which focuses on awarding scholarship to vulnerable children and catering for them, said; “Children’s Day is a reminder of the importance of nurturing our future leaders. We must encouraged them to strive for excellence and avoid negative influences that could derail their future.
“As parents, teachers, community leaders, and all stakeholders, we must play active roles in nurturing the dreams and talents of our children. There is need to instill in them values that promote peace, unity, innovation, and resilience”, the statement added.
