Real Madrid Beat Sociedad in Last Game for Retiring Legend, Modric

Real Madrid had a befitting farewell for football legend and Croatian captain, Luka Modric, who played his last league game for his team today.
Madrid’s play maker, Kylian Mbappe, scored a goal in each half to earn the maximum three points as the La Liga season came to an end.
Modric, 39, is calling time in his club side engagements after an impressive career in which he won 28 trophies across clubs and competitions.
Mbappe , in the 42nd minute of play, stepped out to take a spot kick but it was initially parried by the Sociedad goalkeeper,but Mbappe latched onto the rebound to slot in for the opener.
He was on course again when, with eight minutes of regular time left for play, he seized on a Vinicius Junior pass to net his second and the last goal of the tie.
Modric, who was the cynosure of all eyes at the 80,000- capacity Bernabeau stadium, was in tears as he was treated to a guard of honour by players of both teams in a big tribute to his outstanding career.
