The Governor of Delta State,Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, will tomorrow inaugurate two major projects built by Ika South Local Government.
The projects are the 1.15km Abude Street Project with dual drainage, and the Alihame Modern Market.
A statement issued by Joe Onwuka, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS)to the Local Government Chairman, Engr Jerry Ehiwarior, said the commissioning would hold by 2 pm.
The CPS said that the projects formed part of the legacy projects of the local government under the watch of Engr. Ehiwarior.
He added, ” we are honoured to host His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori (JP), Executive Governor of Delta State, as Special Guest of Honour.
This is a resounding testament to growth and infrastructure development in Ika South!”
Work on both the road and market projects began shortly after Engr Ehiwarior was inaugurated into office as Local Government Chairman, in June last year.
They form part of the many projects the local government is handling as part of efforts to expand the benefits the MORE Agenda of the current state government, and improve the quality of life of the people of the local government area.
