The President of America,Donald Trump, ended his historic four – day tour of the Persian Gulf a few minutes ago.
Trump, boarded his Air Force One by 10.11 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), as he departed Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates (UAE) enroute Washington.
The visit had taken him to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE in the course of which officials of his administration and those of his host states signed deals worth trillions of dollars.
Most of the deals relate to military/ security hardware, air travel modes and investments in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
All three nations signed up to deals in AI, military hardware and aircraft.
Qatar, an emerging centre of global diplomacy, ordered 210 units of wide body Boeing 784 to boost the fleet of its public sector carrier, Qatar Airways, which already has 150 units of the same aircraft.
The business success of the tour, the first by Trump to the three states since he began his subsisting second term in office, was, however, dogged by controversy following the gift to Trump of a giant luxury aircraft by the Qatari Government.
Trump had roundly denied that the unusual gift was a bribe, adding he would be “stupid” not to accept it.
