DEFECTION: OMO AGEGE PLANS SHOCKING RETURN TO PDP
In a manner akin to frustration following the emergence of Gov Sheriff Oborevwori, his predecessor Ifeanyi Okowa and virtually all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful into the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta state, former Deputy President of the Senate , Ovie Omo Agege faces a beak political future.
Before the sudden emergence of Oborevwori who defeated Omo Agege in the last governorship election , the latter held sway as the leader of APC in the state.
With the new development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has handed the leadership of APC in the state to Oborevwori .
Omo Agege has taken the back seat and losing relevance in the political equation .
The political twist unarguably will reshape Delta State’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Credible sources have confirmed to the Radarr that the former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, is actively considering a return to the PDP to find a political home.
According to insiders privy to confidential discussions, Omo-Agege, one of the APC’s most influential figures in the South-South, is said to be exploring the possibility of a political realignment amid rising tensions within the APC and ongoing internal power tussles in Delta State.
“This is not a rumour,” a highly placed PDP source said.
