In a surprise move, America and Britain said today that they have reached a tariffs deal.
It is the first such deal between both countries since the Donald Trump administration came into office three months ago and the first between America and any other country on the subject.
Details of the deal remained a guarded secret at press time but the Secretary of Defence, United Kingdom, John Heasley who confirmed the development, said while the deal served the interests of both countries, Britain could not afford to ignore America which he described as a core component of its economy and security.
Details of the deal are expected to be unfolded later today..
