Natasha gate: Money Cannot Buy Me-
.Ezekwesili
Former Minister of Education and respected public figure, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has once again shown her strong support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
In a powerful message shared online via her X, Ezekwesili made it clear that she could not be bribed or silenced—no matter how much money was offered.
Her reaction came in the heels of the claim by a woman named Sandra Duru, also known as Professor Mgbeke, that Senator Akpoti paid her to support sexual harassment allegations against the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
Ezekwesili rejected the allegation completely and said it was a lie meant to distract the public from the real issue—seeking justice for Senator Akpoti.
The former Minister said her values and voice coukd not be bought, not even with all the money in every central bank in the world. She promised to continue standing by Akpoti and other Nigerians fighting for truth and justice.
“They know—without a doubt — that no amount of money, not even all the wealth in every Central Bank in the world, can buy my convictions, voice, and stance on any matter I choose to support,” she said.
She also criticized corrupt politicians, saying that many Nigerian leaders cared only about money and power, instead of truly serving the people.
Ezekwesili called on all decent and honorable Nigerians to join the fight against injustice and support Akpoti in her case against the President of the Senate.
She reminded everyone that injustice to one person was injustice to all, and that no amount of lies or intimidation could stop the truth from coming out.
She encouraged Akpoti to stay strong and keep fighting until justice was done.
