Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Police Force in Delta State has revealed chilling details surrounding the murder of a site manager by his own employees.
According to reports, the victim, 38-year-old site engineer Chigozie Udalor, was murdered and buried in a shallow grave by two of his workers after they discovered a large sum of money in his bank account.
In a video shared by Edafe, he recounted how the suspects tied up their boss, repeatedly struck his head with a hammer until he died, and then buried his body on the construction site where they all worked.
The motive, according to the police, was a plan to gain access to the victim’s account and withdraw the funds.
“They tied this young man and smashed his head with a hammer and buried him in a shallow grave on the same site,” Edafe said in the video.
The site manager’s body has been exhumed after police arrested two of the suspects.
Authorities are continuing investigations into the shocking incident, which has sparked outrage and horror across the region.
